Traditional Equinox Cleansing Spell

This ritual will also purify and calm the atmosphere in your home or office.

You Will Need:

□ A tray to work from                                  □ Spring Water

□ Frankincense and Myrrh resin                   □ A Crystal or Glass Bowl

□ Sea Salt                                                 □ A fire safe burner

□ Charcoal Disks                                        □ Matches

□ Bell             

 ***All Supplies Are Available At The Ancient Moon***

Begin in a room closest to the front door. Fill you bowl with spring water. Add about ¼ of a cup of sea salt to the water. Grind each of the two resins and then add them together. Light ½ of a charcoal disk and place it on top of sand or kitty litter in the fire safe burner. Place your tray on the floor. Add approximately 1 teaspoon of the resin mixture to the burning disk.

Lift up your resin. Working in a clockwise direction, go around the room. Focus on lifting the negative energies from the atmosphere. This is called “smudging”. Next, working in the same pattern, ring the bell. This gathers unwanted energy. Finally, working in the same direction, use your fingers to “flick” the sea salt/water combination. This will purify the space that you have just cleansed.

Continue room to room with the same method. You may need to stop from time to time to light new charcoal or incense. Do not allow yourself to be interrupted. The final room that you work should be close to a door to the outside. If possible it should not be in the room you started with. Put down your tray, open the door and say,

“I (your name) command all the negative energy to leave. I ask that energy associated with unhappiness, worry, or fear to leave now. I ask that helpful, happy and protective energy stay.”

Your home should now be cleansed and balanced. You should feel a definite change.
